Buyer Critiques

This unit is remarkable. I bought this adapter, to be used with my premier DEH-P690UB, and it functions fantastic, feels like a factory equipment. It comes with the microphone and installation wires, especially extended ones, so yo can put it pretty much wherever you like (I did my own instalation).
When connected, all you have to do is pair your bluetooth mobile to the unit, and register it as a phone. you can register five mobile phones, 3 major registration, and 2 guest phones (it only auto-connect with registered phones). The distinction between the primary phones, and the guest ones, is that the most important ones, can handle phone book entries. Phonebook entries are 500 (total), 300 for phone 1, 150 for telephone two, and 50 for telephone three. Phonebook entries, refers to names, and every name can have a lot of numbers assigned. I have 260 entries, some with five numbers assigned, and are operating fine. Reading the phonebook in my unit, is a small slow I believe, as it takes bout two seconds for the 1st name name to seem, an then they start to seem progressively.
Transferring the phonebook is simple and easy, as far as YOUR MOBILE telephone supports it. Some phones, enable you to transfer all contacts (one particular example is pretty much any SonyEricsson) other people, will allow you to transfer contacts one particular by a single, and in some, it merely not posible, but that depends on the telephone, not this unit.
As for the sound good quality, is fantastic. Practically anybody that I have referred to as, noticed no distinction among utilizing the handsfree or employing my mobile straight. You can adjust the volume, and it stays the very same for phone mode, independently of other modes. Other audio ajustments are fixed.
When I receive a call, the radio automatically switch to phone mode (even if the unit is off), and the caller id is displayed on the screen, even with the name (if it is in the radio phonebook), and also gets back to the previous mode soon after you hangup (or reject) the call. With my head unit, is really troublesome to dial a number, because it has no number keys on the front. You have to scroll number by number, despite the fact that you can dial effortlessly applying the remote manage (of the key unit) considering the fact that it have all the numbers. I suppose it is less difficult on avic units.
I have read that this unit has some concerns with Windows Mobile Smartphones, mainly because some bluetooth limitations on the WM bluetooth, but it can be fixed with some 30 USD computer software I can't keep in mind. I have not tested this limitations due to the fact I do not have one obtainable however, but I advise WM Smartphone users to analysis a little.
PROS:
-Great sound high quality.
-Integrates well with bluetooth compatible Pioneer and Premier units.
-Can register 5 Mobile phones
-Separate phonebook for the 3 principal ones.
-Every phonebook entry can have a number of numbers (I have tested a max. of 5)
-Can play (and control in some instances) Bluetooth compatible music players, as lengthy as they assistance the A2DP profile
-Functions on stand by, even if the most important unit is off (as long as the auto switch is on ACC or ON position)
-Lot of selections.
Cons:
-Phonebook a tiny slow to read the entries.
-Tricky to 'direct dial' a phone number on some units.
-?Compatibility concerns with some smartphones?
I highly recomend this item, to any person who has a Pioneer bluetooth compablible head unit and a bluetooth phone.

This adapter works pretty much so well you think it is factory equipment. Functions terrific wih my cell telephone and even lets me transfer my phonebook into the head unit(Pioneer Avic-d3). I like it!
