I bought the Soundcast SOU-UAT250US transmitter along with an Outcast outdoor speaker to broadcast music from my laptop or computer or my audio system to my patio. Both have worked flawlessly for months.
Installing the Soundcast transmitter couldn't be much easier. You simply plug it into your computer applying a USB cable or into your audio method employing the RCA jacks and the supplied power adapter. The signal broadcasts for hundreds of feet, even by means of walls.
Sound transmission has been fantastic, with no interference. I have attempted other wireless speaker systems and been disappointed. They were generally interrupted by cordless phones, microwave ovens, or signals from a nearby airport. I have so far had no such problem with the Soundcast units. The sound top quality is superb, and the Outcast speaker is effective enough to fill a backyard with music.
General, I'm quite happy with the system.

Soundcast created a brilliant design in their outdoor speakers, but cannot say the same about this transmitter. Rather poor sound transmission to my Outcast outdoor speaker, whereby even cranking the volume to the max didn't mitigate the lack of sound. Even at 3ft away, it would have been less complicated to hook up two soup cans to a string: 1 finish for your audio source, 1 finish for your Outcast speaker....
Save your $99 and just use the aux cable and Jack to hook up your device rather.
