Item Description

The WARN Winch Wireless Control Method enables operating the winch remotely from up to 50-feet away. The technique will work with any Warn winch with a 5-wire electrical system. For quick installation, the wireless control system has a receiver equipped with an internal antenna and all other mounting hardware essential for installation. The receiver is potted for extreme resistance to water and the elements. The weather-proof transmitter has two significant buttons to facilitate straightforward operation of the winch even whilst wearing gloves and its two-color LED gives operator feedback. To start activation, hold down both buttons on the transmitter for 5 seconds until the two-color LED turns green. This indicates the technique has been activated. To begin the winching method, hold down the power-in or power-out buttons, and the LED will turn red, showing that winching is in procedure. The LED will blink if the battery of the transmitter is low.

Customer Critiques

Bought item to perform with my 8000lb winch. It is a plug and play remote and works superb. Tends to make loading and unloading automobiles a lot a lot easier.

1) It's plug and play.
two) It tends to make solo winching a lot a lot easier.
three) It lets you get farther away than a wired remote.
4) It lets pick safer places than a wired remote, which locations you perfect close to the fairlead quite often.
Together items 3 four, above, constitute a Significant safety improvement and are, in my opinion, cause enough to get this add-on for your Warn winch. While the wireless remote claims to function 50 feet from the receiver, I had the entirety of my wire cable (minus 5 wraps on the drum) spooled out and was successfully applying the remote from the hook finish of the line. (That's nearly 100 feet of range!) Also, if you happen to be worried about batteries dying on you, do not. The remote has to be activated by you ahead of it burns energy ... and it automatically shuts off immediately after a pretty brief (but reasonable) period of disuse. (Plus you can at all times carry your wired remote as a backup that's what I do just for decent measure.)
